If you haven\’t started decorating yet this year, it\’s time to get started. The leaves on the trees are changing colors and the landscape is slowly falling into an autumn sleep. Kites are dancing in the wind and the rustle of leaves is all around us. Now is the perfect time to spruce up your home with fall-appropriate decorations.
Put on your fall jacket, put on your warm boots, grab your bag, and head out into the woods. Not only are mushrooms plentiful this time of year, making for delicious grilled meats, but the weather is also just right for gathering natural materials to make fall decorations for your home. There are countless things to be found in the forest, so why not take advantage of them? Chestnuts, boxwood, moss, leaves and bark, anything is useful. There is nothing in the forest that cannot be used for fall decorations.
Once the materials are ready, we will actually make them. To make it easier to work with, we will use a melting gun as a helper. Now, we will actually make the ornaments.

We take a piece of bark and bend it downward. The bark takes on the shape of a boat, and we fill it with treasures of the forest. We clean the inside of the bark so that it will stick well when we glue it together. Using a hot melt gun, glue on chestnuts, pine cones, and leaves picked up in the forest, little by little. Let them use their imagination and work with their little hands. Scatter chestnut shells, pine cones, and the beautiful orange color of the nanakamado nuts in autumn. Don\’t forget moss, the color of autumn.
When gluing, leave a little space in the middle of the so-called boat where candles can be inserted to decorate the candle holders. However, if you do not need candle holders, make a variety of decorations with plenty of fall flavors. Allow the glue to dry or spray the entire piece with clear spray paint if you have it at home. As soon as it dries, you can decorate your window sill beautifully.
Now all that\’s left to do is make a hot cup of tea, sit back in your armchair, and let the fall atmosphere take over.
