Interestingly, most people do not appreciate other people\’s pastimes. They don\’t understand it. For example, just as soccer fans cannot understand how to enjoy hockey, field hockey fans cannot understand soccer fans. There are many people in the world who support both sports and watch both. Because it is fun for them. There used to be dance parties. Unfortunately, many of the young people that thesegamestargeted were certainly not there to dance. Their priorities were different, and entertainment, or dancing, was merely a kind of “cover. There purpose was to be whipped, and then to whip someone else. In most cases, it succeeded.
On the other hand, it was a great outing for those who walked five miles home on a summer night without getting spanked. And as long as there was a girl by your side…
But fun and frolics can now be found at home. We don\’t have to go anywhere anymore. With the push of a single button everything starts and, no surprise, the house is filled with fun. Yes, I\’m talking about computers and the Internet. Instead of computers, cell phones; instead of internet, lots of games on pancakes. It wasn\’t like that in the old days. Back then, we played what we called board games. The “Don\’t Be Mad!” game was not in the house, which was tantamount to a basic flaw. So people would search and usually find an old game plan of dominoes or sheep pen. So a button was added and the game was played.
Somewhere, again, cards were played. The children were mainly Black Peter or Quartet, the adults were Canasta or the inlaid ram they called the Joker. Everyone had a favorite game or pastime. Some wanted company and just the amusement of dancing, others liked best to lie at home with a bookor to get up and go out somewhere in the woods. In my case, this was true even with my dog.
[26] In fact, entertainment is anything that relaxes one and takes one away from the worries of everyday life. So even intense rock climbing can be fun for someone.
